About the Role

The Program Communication Manager will serve as the voice and face of kLab. This role focuses on shaping how kLab communicates its programs, success stories, and community impact to the public.

It is a hands-on position that combines content creation, digital marketing, public relations, and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Creating engaging multimedia content, including short-form videos (Reels, TikToks), event photography, and graphic designs for posters and flyers
• Writing high-quality blog posts, newsletters, and success stories that highlight startups and kLab programs
• Managing and executing content strategies across Twitter (X), Instagram, LinkedIn, and Facebook
• Drafting press releases and managing relationships with media outlets
• Increasing kLab’s brand visibility through active online and offline engagement
• Tracking and analyzing communication campaigns using digital analytics tools

Job Requirements

To qualify for this position, applicants should meet the following criteria:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Communications, PR, or Digital Marketing
• Experience working in the tech or startup ecosystem is a strong advantage
• Proven ability to create visual content using tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Premiere Pro, or CapCut
• Excellent writing and editing skills in English
• Knowledge of Kinyarwanda and/or French is an added advantage
• Ability to simplify complex technical ideas into clear, engaging stories
• Familiarity with SEO, social media trends, and email marketing platforms such as Mailchimp
