1. About the Program

The Resilience in Secondary Education (RISE) program is a transformative national

priority led by the Ministry of Education (MINEDUC) in collaboration with the Mastercard

Foundation, UNICEF, and other key partners.

Targeting 1.1 million out-of-school youth (aged 16–30) over the next decade, RISE provides

alternative learning pathways through technology-enhanced blended learning. The

program enables youth to complete nationally accredited secondary education while

gaining vocational and entrepreneurship skills aligned with Rwanda’s Vision 2050.

2. The Role

Recruitment is being conducted by the program's implementing partners—Imbuto

Foundation, Catholic Relief Services (CRS), and the Young Women’s Christian

Association (YWCA) who support implementation across all districts.

As a Learning Facilitator, you will serve as a mentor, digital coach, and guide for learners in

the RISE Program. You will manage a local learning hub for learners as they navigate

digital lessons and practical projects.

3. Key Responsibilities:

● Facilitate Learning: Conduct face-to-face sessions using active learning

methodologies (group work, discussions) to supplement online content.

● Digital Coaching: Guide learners on how to use tablets and computers, navigate

the Learning Management System (LMS), and troubleshoot basic technical issues.

● Mentorship: Provide encouragement and career guidance to learners under the

program

● Administrative Management: Track learner attendance, grade assessments, and

report progress using the program’s digital monitoring tools.

● Community Engagement: Work with local leaders and parents to ensure learner

retention and safety.

3. Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

● Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Sciences, English, Humanities (with

Education), or other related fields.

● Age: Between 21 and 35 years old at the date of the application deadline.

● Experience: Recent graduates (0–5 years post-graduation) are highly

encouraged to apply.

● Status: Currently unemployed or available for a full-time commitment as an

intern. .


● Residency: Must currently reside in and be willing to work within the specific District

or Sector applied for.

● Languages: Fluent in both Kinyarwanda and English.

● Passion for community empowerment, digital inclusion, and gender equality.

● This role is community-based, meaning you will be working directly within the

district you indicated in your application. Apply only if you are willing and able to

work in that location.

● Strong digital literacy and ability to use online learning platforms

● High levels of motivation, integrity, and commitment to community service
